Privacy policy
Lara turns your lecture material into flashcards. This page explains what we collect to do that, who handles it, and how to delete it. In short: your cards stay on your devices and in your iCloud, we don't keep your lectures, and there are no ads or trackers.
Your account
You sign in with Apple. Apple gives us an account ID and an email address, which can be a private relay address if you choose to hide your email. We keep these with Supabase, our backend provider, so the app knows it's you.
Your lectures
When you ask Lara to make cards, the pages you pick (their text and an image of each page) are sent through our server to an AI model, MiMo, through OpenRouter. The model runs at Xiaomi or DeepInfra. The drafted cards come straight back to your phone. We don't store your pages or the drafts on our servers. If a request fails, our error logs may keep part of the model's reply for a few days.
Your photos
If you import photos of your notes, Lara only gets the photos you pick, not your photo library. They become pages of a PDF in the app and are handled like any other lecture.
Your cards and reviews
Your lectures, photos, decks, cards and study history live on your device and sync through your own iCloud account. We can't see them.
This website
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare processes basic request data, such as your IP address, to serve and protect the site.
What we don't do
- No ads, no tracking across apps or websites.
- We don't sell or share your data for marketing.
- We don't use your material to train AI models.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Settings and tap Delete account. That deletes your account on our server, revokes Sign in with Apple, and removes your cards from your device and iCloud.
